It’s a sad fact of life that family relationships can break down. When this happens it is often an emotional and upsetting time which can sometimes become acrimonious leading to lengthy and expensive court proceedings.
When these disputes reach court, there is a duty upon the parties to attempt to agree common ground through, what is known as, mediation.
Mediation is a process which brings couples together to explore issues in an open and non-confrontational environment. Trained mediators give impartial guidance and help you understand what matters to you, helping you make your own choices to arrive at practical and mutually agreed solutions. It's flexible, speedy and cost effective.
The mediation sessions can help you reslove practical issues in a professional environment which can enable you to move forward constructively at a time when you may feel your life is chaotic, disrupted and your future uncertain.
To enable our clients to get the very best from this invaluable service, we have teamed up with Allison Family Mediation Services run by accredited mediator, Tracy Allison.
Allison Family Mediation Services is contracted with the Legal Aid Agency to offer publicly funded mediation which means that, if you are eligible, mediation can be free. If one of you is eligible then the other may be entitled to the initial assessment meeting and first hour of mediation free. This service is available at our Trinity House address.
